  • How do I book space?
    • To inquire about booking space with Conference Services, please complete our inquiry form. Once your inquiry is received, we will provide you with availability and rates for booking space.
  • How can I check room availability?
    • To inquire about room availability on campus, please complete our inquiry form.
  • Can I host my wedding at Carleton?
    • Unfortunately our spaces are not available for weddings, private parties or dances.
  • Will Conference Services plan my event?
    • We do not plan events. We coordinate the event logistics and provide industry expertise when assisting with your event.
  • Can I sell anything at my event?
    • Unfortunately, you would not be able to sell anything on campus because it does not align with our commercial activities policy. For more information, please visit here.
  • Can I get podiums and other special equipment with Conference Services?

Summer Accommodations

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    • Check in time is 3:00pm and check out time is 11:00am.
  • Can I have early check-in/ late check-out?
    • Early check-in and late check-out cannot be guaranteed.
  • Can I book a block of rooms for my guests to book on their own at Carleton?
    • We do not offer room blocks. If you wish to book all your guests under one master account with one account holder, we can accommodate this. If not, you and your guests can email or call individually to book their stay with Conference Services. Full payment is required at the time of booking for all individual reservations.
  • Can I stay at Carleton all year around?
    • We offer accommodations from mid-May to mid-August annually. Please visit our accommodation page here for dates and rates.
  • Are there kitchen facilities in suite style rooms?
    • Suites have a fridge and sink however, we do not have stocked kitchens, stoves, ovens or cook tops available.
  • Are suites and traditional rooms in the same building?
    • No, they are in separate buildings.
  • Can I reserve a room and pay upon arrival?
    • In order to confirm your reservation we require payment in full upon booking. We do not take reservations without a valid credit card.
  • Can I reserve a suite for my son/daughter? They are attending a summer workshop for high school students.
    • All guests who are less than 18 years of age must have a chaperone or guardian stay on campus with them. Minors are also not permitted to check-in themselves.
  • What is the required ratio for chaperones for youth groups?
    • Minors must have chaperones staying with them in the area at a minimum ratio of 10:1.
  • Are pets permitted?
    • Animals are not permitted in the residences, except for service animals.
  • Are the rooms air conditioned?
    • Yes, all our residence buildings have air conditioning.
  • Are there laundry facilities?
    • Yes, laundry facilities (washing machines and dryers) are available in each of our residences. Machines are accessed using CU-cards available for a small fee.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    • We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to cancel a reservation.


  • Do you have free parking on campus?
    • We do not offer free parking. Parking is either a pre-arranged service that we can contract with you prior to your event or you can use our Pay and Display machines located in our parking lots. For information about the various locations and rates, check the Parking Services web site.
  • Is there parking for over-sized vehicles, trucks with trailers, or vehicles with roof bike racks?
    • Yes, vehicles that do not fit in the covered parking garage can park in P7, which is an open lot.


  • Can I bring in my own catering?
  • Do you cater offsite events?
    • Conference Services does not coordinate catering for off-site events. Please contact the Carleton University Dining Services team directly here for any inquires.
